The Donkeyman Cometh!
March is just around the corner and, in addition to running our “Celebrating Citizenship” events and hosting the Minister for Social and Family Affairs, the Immigration Center is also delighted to welcome author Kevin O’Hara.
Kevin is best known for his book Last of the Donkey Pilgrims about his travels round Ireland with a jenny called Missy. But he’s coming to Philly to talk about his new book A Lucky Irish Lad, a memoir about growing up Irish in America – a topic I’m sure most of you can relate to!
We’ll be hosting two events with Kevin. On March 9, Kevin will be signing books at Fergie’s pub in Center City. Full details here!
And on March 10, Kevin will make his way out to the Immigration Center to join us for our weekly lunch. Both events are free, but please let me know if you are coming, so I have an idea of numbers.
I haven’t met Kevin yet, but I’ve read his donkey book and we’ve spoken many times on the phone. And if he’s half as funny in real life, you’re in for a treat. See you on March 9!
