St. Patrick's Day Parade and Post Parade Party

Come And March With Us In The Parade!  

St. Patrick's Day has arrived again and it's going to be a lot of fun. As always we will be marching. This year our dear friend Barney Boyce will be the Grand Marshal. Come and march with us in the parade to support him, and support the center. We will have a selection of donuts and hot coffee to fuel us for the march. We will also have a bus for those who need to take a break along the parade route. We will be meeting at 10:30 a.m. at JFK Blvd between 16th and 17th streets on the north side.

Following the parade, we are having a party with our comrades from the GAA, Irish American Business Chamber, Brehon Law Society. There will be a open bar and plenty of delicious treats for all. Music by the talented John Byrne Band will provide us with entertainment. Tickets cost $35.They include unlimited food and drink.   Please note that places are extremely limited so please purchase your tickets in advance. Immigration Update

All are welcome to join us for an immigration update and discussion at the Irish Immigration Center.The conversation, led by immigration Attorneys Audrey Allen, Thomas Griffin and Shelley Grant, will discuss the new Executive Orders and what they mean for you and your family. Criminal Attorney Tom Ivory will also be on hand to answer any questions you might have. 

This event will be streamed live via Facebook. A questions and answers session will be open, both to attendees and live viewers. If you don’t feel comfortable asking questions via Facebook live, please email Leslie directly at leslie@icphila.org or call on 610-789-6355. She will ask the questions on your behalf and your anonymity is guaranteed.

Foróige

Foróige Clubs are a safe place for young people to hang out, meet new friends and have a voice. The club night begins with a formal meeting, led by a committee of young people. Then members decide if they want to work on a project or just hang out with their friends, enjoying games or activities.

Cost: $125 at the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton, 237 S Broad St, Philadelphia

Please join us for an evening with The Irish Minister of State, for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Heather Humphreys and the Consul General of Ireland, Barbara Jones and all involved in the 2016 International Great Hunger Commemoration. 2016 Great Hunger Commemoration Opening Ceremony

Cost: $5 at the Ritz East - 125 S 2nd St, Philadelphia


Mayor Kenney and Kathy McGee Burns, President of the Irish Memorial will open the weekend’s events with a presentation of the documentary  ‘Ireland’s Great Hunger and the Irish Diaspora’ narrated by actor Gabriel Byrne. This will be followed by a Candlelight March to Memorial site led by the Emerald Pipe Band.
