Thursday, October 6th - Sunday, October 9th, 2016 Philadelphia is hosting Ireland’s 9th Annual International Great Hunger Commemoration. Join Heather Humphreys, TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Barbara Jones, Consul General of Ireland, Hon. Mike Stack, Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania, James F. Kenney, Mayor, City of Philadelphia and the Irish Community of the Delaware Valley for this 4-Day event that brings together some of the world’s leading authorities on the Irish Starvation, including Christine Kinealy, founding director of Ireland's Great Hunger Institute at Quinnipiac University.
