Imirce is a two-pronged initiative that makes available an extensive online database of Irish emigrant letters and memoirs, meticulously compiled over fifty years by historian Kerby A. Miller. The project not only provides access to these valuable primary sources but also continues Miller’s legacy by regularly appealing for new material to expand the collection. Many of these letters came from those who had emigrated to Pensylvania and date back as far as the late 1700’s.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of Irish emigration and how the Imirce Project is preserving these personal stories for future generations. We look forward to welcoming you to this engaging and informative talk. Register here to attend the talk.
