Here at the Irish Diaspora Center we started the first International Foróige club. Foróige Clubs are a safe place for young people to hang out, meet new friends and have a voice. What makes a Foróige Club different to other youth clubs is that the young people run it themselves with adult support. This allows them to believe in themselves, make decisions and practice leadership. Foróige Clubs generally meet every Thursday night at 7 p.m. The club night begins with a formal meeting, led by a committee of young people. Then members decide if they want to work on a project or just hang out with their friends, enjoying games or activities.

Foróige at the Irish Diaspora Center focuses on providing youth with a program that fosters a sense of Irish community and identity while making new friends and learning new skills.
