📆 Saturday, 18th of April 2026 (Seamus’ birthday)
📍Commodore John Barry Arts & Cultural Center "The Irish Center"
⌚️ Starts at 6.00 pm
🎯 Pubs Games: Darts, 25 card game, Irish ring toss, corn hole

The mission of the Seamus Meenagh Legacy Fund is to support individuals and families facing mental health and addiction challenges by providing compassionate resources, dignity, and community connection, continuing Seamus’s lifelong commitment to helping others find hope and healing.

A native of Mountfield, Co. Tyrone and the ninth of ten children, Seamus Meenagh immigrated to Philadelphia just shy of his 18th birthday. He settled in Glenside with his wife and two daughters, Aisling and Saorla, building a life filled with laughter, stories, and endless conversation as Seamus never met a quiet moment he couldn’t fill.

Though he was talkative and outgoing, his generosity was deeply private. Over 30 years sober, Seamus became a trusted confidant to countless people facing addiction or mental health struggles. He helped quietly, anonymously, and without ever expecting thanks. People knew they could call him at any hour, and he would show up with honesty, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserved another chance.

Seamus passed away from esophageal cancer in 2024, but the ripple effect of his kindness continues. The Seamus Meenagh Legacy Fund honors both the loud joy and the quiet generosity that defined his life — carrying forward his commitment to supporting those in need within the community he loved
